Paula Badosa was asked what's the reason behind her not winning a Grand Slam yet, to which the world No. 11 bluntly stated that she's "trying."
On Sunday, the top-ranked Spanish female tennis player hosted a Q&A session on X. And one fan used the opportunity to very directly ask the 27-year-old why she hasn't yet won a Major.
"I dont know. Im trying. Maybe you have the special recipe to make that happen?" Badosa responded.
At the start of 2025, the former world No. 2made her first Grand Slam semifinal at the Australian Open before losing in two sets to world No. 1 and her best friend Aryna Sabalenka. After the defeat, the world No. 11 was evidently disappointed and lamented that she could have done better.
Badosa is currently dealing with a back issue again, which isn't a good sign ahead of the French Open
To win a Grand Slam, the Spaniard must be fully fit to go through seven matches in a row. But lately, she has again been hampered by her lingering back injury, which forced her to withdraw from Merida - retire injured in Indian Wells - and pull out of Miami,Charleston and Stuttgart.

After missing Charleston and Stuttgart, the hope for Badosa is that she will be able to start her clay season in front of her home fans at the Madrid Open - which starts on April 22nd.
During the Q&A session on X, the Spanish tennis star was told by a fan that her fanbase needed her to lift a title this clay season.
"First I need to be back on court and then maybe a title," the former world No. 2noted.
