Min Woo Lee wowed the golf public with a stellar performance at the Houston Open, winning by one stroke. The Australian thus won his first PGA Tour title, and it seems that in the future this could be a common practice for him.

The young golfer finished the tournament with 20-under 260, and in the interview with the media he emphasized the difficulty of this tournament.

Although Scheffler was breathing down his neck, Woo Lee did not let the pressure "eat" him, succeeding in his plan.

It's hard it's really hard, Lee said, as quoted by PGA Tour.

Obviously, Scottie is a wonderful golfer and he keeps you on your toes. The first time being in front, I'm glad I got it done. I'm very exhausted. It was a lot of mental grind. I'm so proud of how I handled myself.

Scottie Scheffler reacts

Scheffler, as one of the favorites of the tournament, made a maximum effort to overtake the Australian in the last round, but still fell short of the victory. The 28-year-old American made four consecutive birdies, reducing the gap to one stroke.

Lee, on the other hand, faced difficulties in the game, but managed to resist the pressure.

In an interview with the media, Scheffler pointed out that he wanted to put Min Woo under pressure, but admits that the Australian played a great tournament, and was unable to spoil his plans.

Just trying to put as much pressure on Min Woo as I could have, Scheffler said.

I was hoping to be able to do that on the front nine. I wasnt able to get off to a good enough start. And he played some really good golf. I think he made one mistake on 16, but I think he did some really good stuff out there and he just went out and beat us this week.
