Karrion Kross might be on borrowed time in WWE.
According to Fightful Select, the Raw Superstar is officially in his contract year, and while no exact expiration date has been confirmed, sources believe his current deal will wrap up sometime this summer. Whats still unclear is whether Kross is in active negotiations for a new dealor if WWE plans to lock him in before time runs out.
Sources say the company has been ecstatic with how Kross has handled himself, especially when it comes to building his character through social media and carrying out his on-screen storylines. His recent work on Raw has reportedly impressed people within WWE, showing that he knows how to get fans locked inboth online and in the arena.
Kross and his wife Scarlett were previously released by WWE in November 2021, but their return was swift once Triple H took over creative after Vince McMahons initial departure in 2022. Since coming back, the duo has been a dark, theatrical presence on Raw, staying true to their aesthetic while gaining traction with fans.
During his brief time away from WWE, Kross was offered a one-off appearance in AEWwhich he declined. Aside from that, there have been no known talks between Kross and AEW. He did, however, show up in MLW and NJPW, where sources say he left good impressions.
Kross has already held the NXT Championship twice, and now all eyes are on whether WWE wants to keep him long-termor if Kross will start taking calls from other promotions when the summer rolls around.
