In her recent interview with New York Post Sports, the former SmackDown Womens Champion addressed Graves recent tweet controversy, where he vented his frustration about being moved to NXT commentary. The tweets were quickly deleted, but they stirred plenty of drama online. Carmella, however, made it clear shes fully behind him.
I am so supportive of my husband, she said. I feel like hes such an incredible talent. He has so much passion and so much love for this business, and I will always have his back. I feel like he deserves everything.
She didnt stop there, throwing some serious praise his way. I meanand Im as most wives feel about their husbandsbut I just feel like he deserves nothing but the best. He is incredible at what he does. Hes one of, if not the best, commentator WWE hasmaybe other than Michael Cole. She added, And hes just incredible, and I support him no matter what.
Graves returned to NXT commentary after a brief absence, and while fans questioned his position within the company, Carmellas loyalty never wavered. Her comments follow weeks of speculation about Graves future after expressing frustration over his roleand her own exit from WWE.
One things clear: while Carmella may be navigating life outside WWE, shes standing firm by her manand believes he belongs at the very top of the commentary table.
