Jasmine Paolini is making a major change ahead of the clay season as she is ending her 10-year partnership with coach Renzo Furlan.
After being one of the best stories of the 2024 season and enjoying big success at the age of 28, the Italian hasn't had a great start to 2025 as she is only 12-6 and, apart from the Miami semifinal she reached last week, her year has been mostly marked by early exits and surprising losses.
And now, Paolini has seemingly come to the conclusion that she needs a change and a new voice in her team. However, the world No. 6 remains eternally grateful to Furlan, who guided her to making two Grand Slam finals last year and reaching a career-high ranking of No. 4 in the world.

"Weve been on an incredible journey, shared unforgettable moments, including an amazing 2024 with the finals at Wimbledon and Roland Garros, and winning Olympic gold in Paris. And even in 2025, weve started strong," Paolini said in an Instagram announcement.
"Renzo has been such an important part of my growth, both as a player and as a person. Everything Ive learned from him will stay with me and continue to guide me in this new chapter, hell always be an important person in my life.
"Im truly grateful for the time, energy, and sacrifices hes made for me, often far from home and his family. I have so much respect and appreciation for him. For his professionalism, his passion, and the values hes passed on to me over all these years."

Prior to 2024, Paolini had two WTA titles and she had never been ranked inside the top-20 or had been regarded a contender on the biggest stage. But then, she put up an amazing 2024 and became tennis' late bloomer.
It remains to be seen who will the Italian add next to her team.
