The countdown to this years WrestleMania is in full swing. WrestleMania 41 takes place on the weekend of April 19 and 20. 52 (really 55) matches in the history of WrestleMania include women. Diva Dirt will countdown two matches daily to rank all 52 leading up to this years event.
Now onto 38 & 37!
38. WrestleMania 24
Beth Phoenix & Melina def. Ashley & Maria Playboy BunnyMania LumberJill
This was probably one of the better if not the best Playboy matches by sheer wrestling. Ashley and Maria really did well in this match for them not being on the same level as Beth and Melina. The weird lights going out is not something I remembered and then they had to finish the match with a spotlight which I actually thought was a nice touch, even if it wasnt planned.
The lumberjills actually did some work in this match (not a whole lot) as opposed to the prior years match between Melina and Ashley where they didnt have to interact even once.
37. WrestleMania 27
Trish Stratus, Snooki, and John Morrison def. LayCool and Dolph Ziggler
Ah Snooki, honestly, I was impressed by the 20 seconds she was in the match. I am glad they didnt utilize here throughout it as they did with past match with Maria Menounos and just let her lay there. And this really should have just been the women, because why were the men even there?!
