Chelsea Green isnt letting hate slidenot on her timeline.
The current WWE Womens United States Champion took to social media on March 31 to acknowledge International Transgender Day of Visibility. That simple gesture clearly struck a nerve with one troll, who responded with a nasty comment dragging Roman Reigns and trying to bait Green into walking back her support.
The tweet read: If Roman Reigns woke up tomorrow and decided he was a woman, would you be okay with him using your bathroom with his massive big dog flopping about? Its almost as if youve put about 10 seconds of thought into it and jumped onto social media for cheap affirmation.
Green didnt flinch. She clapped back instantly with a brutal reality check: I hate to break it to you but not only have I shared locker rooms with all genders, Ive also shared bathrooms. So no, I wouldnt give a fck.*
But she wasnt done. Green then dropped the personal truth that shut the whole conversation down: In fact, Ive got family members that are trans so Ive given not just 10 seconds of thought to this, but close to 30 years and 10 seconds of thought. If youd like to take your bigotry elsewhere, I would greatly appreciate that .
The tweet spread fastbecause it wasnt just a clapback, it was a moment of realness from someone whos walked the walk. Greens been vocal about her journey through the independent scene, her battles to make it in WWE, and now shes showing the same fight when it comes to standing up for trans people.
In a time where the wrestling world still has a long way to go with inclusion, Green didnt just defend her stanceshe backed it up with her own life experience. Shes not doing it for likes. Shes doing it because its personal.
