Giulia hasnt laced up her boots since dropping the NXT Womens Title to Stephanie Vaquer at NXT Roadblockbut dont assume shes out of the game just yet. While fans have speculated everything from injury to visa issues, a new report is giving a clearer picture of whats really going on.
On the latest episode of the Fightful Select Podcast, Sean Ross Sapp was asked point-blank about Giulias absence after Jordynne Grace posted a video showing the star backstage at a recent NXT taping. His response added just enough fuel to keep the mystery burning. I have asked half a dozen people in the company about this and they said that Giulia is around, but hasnt been participating in class and drills since the Stephanie match, Sapp said.
Then came the kickerOne person mentioned like a possible ankle thing. I dont know, Im working on it, but Ive heard that she has not been participating in classes.
That would explain why Giulia hasnt wrestled since Roadblock, despite appearing in a non-wrestling segment at an NXT live event on March 22 where she laid out Cora Jade. Shes present, shes active in storylines, but shes not training or taking bumpsat least for now.
WWE has yet to make any official announcement about her medical status, but behind the scenes, it looks like the company is treading carefully. While early plans had her penciled in for a triple threat at Stand & Deliver with Stephanie Vaquer and Jordynne Grace, the latest direction seems to be Vaquer vs. Grace in a singles matchwith Jaida Parker possibly sliding into the third slot if things change again.
So is Giulia nursing a real injury or just laying low before her next big moment? Either way, WWE clearly isnt done with the Beautiful Madness.
Should WWE give Giulia more time to heal up or fast-track her to WrestleMania 41? Think shes better suited for NXT gold or a main roster debut? Sound off in the commentslets hear what you think.
