While speaking to Ariel Helwani, Bret Hart was asked when he found out about the honor. Hart mentioned that he learned a few months ago that it was going to happen, but he wasnt certain it would until it actually did. Then, just a few days ago, the announcement was made, which confirmed that it was really going to happen for him.
Bret Hart expressed that it was a big honor and something he was very proud of, especially reflecting on the match and the work he did with Steve Austin. When asked if he thought it was the best match, he said he didnt think there was a better match.
