Charlotte Flair isnt holding back as the WWE Universe keeps chanting for a second all-womens Premium Live Event. With WrestleMania 41 just around the corner, The Queen reflected on the groundbreaking WWE Evolution event and dropped some thoughts about whether a sequel could finally be in the works.
The original WWE Evolution went down over six years ago on October 28 at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in New York. The show pulled in nearly 11,000 fans and saw Charlotte Flair take on Becky Lynch in a brutal Last Woman Standing match that lasted a full 30 minutes. Flair came up short in that one, but the match remains a standout in her career. The show ended with Ronda Rousey defeating Nikki Bella in the main event to retain the RAW Womens Title.
While speaking with The Daily Mails Alex McCarthy, Flair got real about the talk surrounding Evolution 2. She didnt confirm anything, but she made her stance known. One of my favorite matches is from the first Evolution. Becky Lynch, Last Woman Standing. One of my top three favorite matches, Flair said. When McCarthy pointed out that a sequel feels overdue, Flair replied, No, I mean, I think itd be great if we have it, but I still think the goal is to have more main events and more storylines and so on.
Flair was clear that the dream of a second Evolution isnt off the table, but its not confirmed either. Theres always rumors that its happening, so until it happens, I cant say yet because we dont know. Yall are the ones with the scoop! she joked.
As for WrestleMania 41, Charlotte Flair is locked in for a major clash against Tiffany Stratton with the WWE Womens Championship on the line. Its their first-ever match and a major spotlight moment for Strattonwhile Flair looks to remind everyone why shes the queen of the division.
Whether Evolution 2 ever becomes reality, Charlotte Flair isnt slowing down. Shes still pushing for bigger main events and deeper storylines for the womens division, with or without a special event to anchor it. The magic that I created on the first one, if it comes to fruition, I look forward to creating more magic on Evolution 2, she said.
