That massive WWE, UFC, and boxing supercard? Yeahits real, and TKO has definitely talked about it.
During a recent Fightful Select Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp was asked directly about the rumored mega event: Is there any truth to the WWE, UFC, and Boxing super event that I see floating around social media?
Sapp responded, I havent heard that an announcement is imminent, but its absolutely been discussed. TKO is very interested in doing a lot more things like that to get crossover fans, assuming any of us could afford to go to two events in one weekend.
This lines up with a report from Billi Bhatti on the Wrestling Informer podcast, who was the first to break the story. Bhatti revealed that talks are underway for a mega event in Saudi Arabia, designed to bring WWE, UFC, and boxing together under one blockbuster card.
At some point this year or next, a mega card is expected to take place in Saudi Arabia, featuring boxing, UFC or MMA, and WWE all on the same event, Bhatti said. This will serve as the ultimate showcase of everything under the TKO banner.
Early concepts being tossed around reportedly include three WWE matches, two UFC fights (including a title bout), a major boxing championship match, and even a celebrity boxing match. One name expected to be involved? Logan Paul. While its still undecided if hell step into a boxing ring or a WWE one, sources say hes likely to be a key part of the card.
Conor McGregors name has also come up. TKO is reportedly eager to get him in the mixthough its unclear whether that would be for a UFC return or a big-money boxing appearance.
At this point, nothings locked inbut Sapp confirming that these talks are legit adds serious weight. If it happens, this would be one of the most outrageous, cross-promotional events the sports and entertainment world has ever seen.
