Lilian Garcia may no longer be the weekly voice of WWE SmackDown, but her emotional return to the company has turned into something much deeper than just another gig.
In a heartfelt update shared during her appearance on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, the longtime WWE ring announcer opened up about how much being back has meant to her personally. Amazing, she said about the experience. The fans have been incredible, just the love from that to the people Im working with, to the new talent thats there, the girls in the locker room, absolutely incredible.
Garcia, who wrapped up her recent run on Raw and SmackDown, made it clear that shes not gone for good. And neither are the relationships she rekindled along the way. But the return also hit a personal chord for her. Working back with Triple H and seeing all of these people that I worked with for so many years, all the agents now that are the producers that are there. Its my family, Garcia shared. I dont have my parents anymore, I didnt have kids, and Im not in a relationship So it is my family
WWE clearly felt the same. Even after her scheduled appearances ended, the company made a point to keep her involved. Garcia revealed, and the fact that they said, Look, we really want to work this out to keep you in some capacity here, man, thats music to my ears and to my heart.
With her spot on Saturday Nights Main Event and more appearances being discussed, Garcia isnt just making cameosshes holding onto something much more meaningful. Its not about the spotlight; its about being home.
