According to Fightful Select, Jay White has suffered an actual injury that will require surgery. AEW played it up as part of the ongoing angle involving Jon Moxleys faction, but its been confirmed that Whites injury is the real deal.
Switchblade Jay White was injured due to an attack from the Death Riders and is now out of the Owen Hart Foundation Memorial Tournament, AEW stated on the April 2, 2025, episode of Dynamite.
Although AEW created a storyline reason to explain his exit from the tournament, the injury has forced significant changes to AEWs plans moving forward. While the specifics of Whites injury have not yet been revealed, sources confirm that surgery is imminent.
