
Becky Lynch is adding another big win to her rsumthis time, its not in the ring but on the big screen. The former WWE Womens Champion has officially landed a supporting role in Happy Gilmore 2, the upcoming Netflix sequel to the 1996 classic. But in a twist that just surfaced, it turns out Becky might have edged out another former WWE star for the gig.
In a new interview with Byron Scotts Fastbreak, Kelly Kelly revealed that she also auditioned for Happy Gilmore 2 after learning the casting team was looking for a female wrestler. She didnt get the partbut it seems Becky did.
Becky Lynchreal name Rebecca Quinwill be playing a golfer in the film, starring alongside NFL icon Reggie Bush. The cast is stacked, with Adam Sandler reprising his iconic role, Christopher McDonald, Ben Stiller, Dennis Dugan, and even Bad Bunny in the mix. AEWs MJF is also making his feature film debut as Happy Gilmores son, setting up a wrestling crossover fans didnt see coming.
Beckys move into acting lines up perfectly with WWEs growing relationship with Netflix, which begins with RAWs official debut on the platform on January 6, 2025. Lynch was last seen at WWEs promotional event for the move back in December, but she hasnt competed since May 2024 and is currently a free agent. Whether she returns to WWE or goes all-in on Hollywood, shes clearly staying booked.
Happy Gilmore 2 is set to drop on Netflix on July 25, and with Becky Lynchs name now attached to it, the film just got a lot more interesting.
