The return of Rusev Day is feeling more real by the minute.
After reports confirmed that Miroformerly known in WWE as Rusevhas officially re-signed with the company, fans have been eagerly awaiting his on-screen comeback. Now, in a new update, Miro has been announced for a pre-WrestleMania 41 appearance in Las Vegasbut it wont be at a WWE event.
Miro is slated to appear as a special guest at the KnokX Pro Entertainment & Academy showcase, taking place April 1618 as part of WrestleMania 41 week. The event is tied to the WWE pipeline, as KnokX Pro is a WWE ID program partner. The promotion was founded by WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi and Reno Anoai and typically operates out of Southern California.
The poster promoting the event makes it clearMiro is one of the headlining names, just days ahead of WrestleMania 41 at Allegiant Stadium.
This public appearance follows Miros recent visit to WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, which PWInsider reported was part of the process for finalizing his return. While CJ Perry (Lana) was not present, the move sparked plenty of speculation on whether WWE has plans to reunite the two on screenor if Miro will return as a solo act.
Miro last wrestled in WWE in early 2020 before being released that April. He joined AEW in September 2020 and stayed with the company until his quiet exit this February. His most recent match came at a Qatar Pro Wrestling event, marking his first in-ring appearance in over 14 months.
Whether its Rusev Day or something new entirely, Miros time in WWE is officially back on.
