Casper Ruud made it crystal clear that he is convinced players aren't fairly compensated by Grand Slams but also admitted that he doesn't think Majors will start sharing 50 percent of their revenue with players.

This week, L'Equipe revealed that the top-20 ATP and WTA players came together and signed a letter sent to the Grand Slam authorities, demanding more money. Idealistically, they would like Majors to share their profits 50/50 with players.

When asked if he was one of those players who put his signature on the letter, world No. 6 Ruud didn't confirm it but his answer clearly indicated that his name was there.

"(Can't) talk too much about the details, but it's definitely a possibility that this happened," the three-timeSlam runner-up told AFP.

Ruud also said he thinks players get only around 15 percent of the profit made by a Slam and he slammed that as "unfair." Even if Grand Slams agree to share more of their revenue with athletes, the Norwegian doesn't think they will accept to split profit 50/50 - but he'd happy even with a small increase.

"I don't think we'll ever get there. But if we can get closer, I think every percentage helps," the former world No. 2 added.

Ruud calls out the scheduling changes made by Grand Slams

The world No. 6 also pointed out that three of four Grand Slams now start on Sunday and that Wimbledon remains the only Major which holds to the tradition of starting on Monday. And the thing that makes the Norwegian annoyed with that move is that apparently no one asked players how they felt about that.

"Slams in the last years have decided to start tournaments a day earlier. Most of them, they make these types of decisions without even talking with the players, asking for their opinions. So there are certain things that Slams have done in the last years where we feel like it's time to react and ask for a meeting and then to discuss different topics," Ruud noted.
