While speaking onPardon My Take, Cody Rhodes talked about his role in The Naked Gun reboot, revealing that he only has a small cameo. While he finds it a bit strange that the film keeps promoting him despite having a small role, he appreciates the attention and thinks its pretty cool.
Rhodes also mentioned that he got to do a scene with Liam Neeson, joking about how many different ways people could play on Neesons name. As a lifelong Star Wars fan, he was especially excited to work with the actor who portrayed Qui-Gon Jinn, describing it as an easy yes for him.
Rhodes praised Neeson as the coolest guy on set, noting how he approached each scene with slight variations. He enjoyed the opportunity to interact with and learn from the veteran actor, calling the experience very fun.
Directed by Akiva Schaffer, the film is set to release on August 1, 2025. The cast features Liam Neeson, Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, Kevin Durand, and Danny Huston. The original Naked Gun, starring Leslie Nielsen, came out in December 1988 and became a cult classic.
