Ethan Page has found himself in a bizarre beefnot with a wrestler, but with pets. And not just any petshes going after the four-legged legends of CM Punk and Cody Rhodes: Larry the dog and Pharoah the husky.
During a recent jab-filled moment online, Page made it known he wasnt trying to be like everyone else. I got a dog of my own because I wanted to follow in the footsteps of guys like CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, even Drew McIntyre who has cats, he explained. But things quickly took a turn when Page got personal with the animals.
He threw shade at Punks beloved Larry, calling him ugly, and didnt stop there. When it came to Codys longtime canine companion Pharoah, Page delivered a killer line, calling the husky a talentless industry plant. Yes, really.
Page then introduced fans to Nala, his own dog, who he clearly thinks is superior to the most famous pets in pro wrestling.
Neither Larry nor Pharoah have responded, obviouslybut fans are already treating this like a full-on angle. Wrestling Twitter was quick to defend the four-legged icons, with many calling Pages remarks the ultimate heel turn.
Page also appeared in the final segment of Thursday nights TNA iMPACT!, confronting Frankie Kazarian. But lets be honestmore people are talking about the dog drama than the in-ring promo.
