It looked like 2025 was finally going to be the year The Ugandan Giant Kamala received his overdue flowers from WWE. But now, that induction will have to wait.

According to a new report from WrestleVotes on April 4, Well, it appears Kamala will ultimately not be a part of this years Hall of Fame class. Im told discussions between WWE and James Harris family have remained positive and that The Ugandan Giant will one day be honored with an induction in the future.

Thats a major shift from earlier reports that had Kamala, real name James Harris, set to join Triple H and Lex Luger in this years Hall of Fame class. Fans were ready to celebrate the life and career of one of WWEs most unforgettable charactersstanding 67 and weighing 380 pounds, Kamalas presence in the ring was pure intimidation. From Hulk Hogan to The Undertaker, he clashed with the best of them.

Though he never held a championship in WWE, Kamalas legacy was built on spectacle and fearhis tribal paint, silent demeanor, and vicious persona left a lasting impression on everyone who saw him compete. Outside the ring, Harris dealt with major health issues, including the loss of both legs to diabetes, before his death in 2020 at age 70.
