Drew McIntyre isnt just hurthes furious. The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion showed up in a new SmackDown vignette on April 5 with an eye patch, a cold stare, and a chilling message for the man whos been haunting him for months: Damian Priest.
Every big moment was at my expense, McIntyre growled. You profited off of me being screwed. No one cares about Damian Priest unless youre feasting off of my scraps.
This all comes just one week after Priest brutally slammed McIntyre onto a car windshield backstage, leaving him with shattered glass in his eye and a potentially career-altering injury. In the vignette, McIntyre admitted the pain isnt just physicalits personal. I can live with my back hurting, but I got glass in my eye and I might never be the same, he said.
According to McIntyre, he wanted a confrontationhe wanted Priest to own up to what hes done. Instead, he attacked from the shadows like a vulture.
Now, McIntyre says its time to praybut not in the way you think. I need a miracle. I need to pray. Everybody knows when Drew McIntyre prays, bad things happen.
That line hit hardespecially considering what happened the last time McIntyre got spiritual. After praying for CM Punks downfall earlier this year, Punk tore his triceps at the Royal Rumble and missed WrestleMania altogether.
The history between McIntyre and Priest is thick. Priest eliminated McIntyre from the 2025 Royal Rumble, pinned him at Elimination Chamber, and then cashed in his Money in the Bank contract at WrestleMania XL to take McIntyres titleadding insult to injury every step of the way.
Now, the question is simple: what happens when McIntyre prays again?
