Things got real personal on the April 4 episode of SmackDownbut now its Ludwig Kaiser whos responding to the drama after Charlotte Flair dropped his name in the middle of a wild, unscripted promo battle with Tiffany Stratton.
As Charlotte and Tiffany tore into each other during the segment, the insults flew fast. Stratton didnt hold back, mocking Charlottes past marriages and saying, When its all said and done, youre going to be just like you are outside of the ring, alone! What is that record, like 0-3? Charlotte fired back with a dig of her own, asking: Is that why Kaisers in my DMs?
Now, Kaiser has responded. He posted a clip on Twitter of Shawn Michaels telling Diana Smith, Please do not flatter yourself, and tagged Charlotte Flair in the post. No caption needed.
It didnt take long for fans to connect the dots. Kaiser is Strattons real-life boyfriend, so naturally, Charlottes line turned a promo into personal territory. And while some wondered if the segment was fully off the cuff, its being said that the divorce reference would not have made air without being cleared firstsuggesting at least part of it was planned.
Still, earlier reports indicated that Charlotte and Tiffany said very little of what was in the rundown for them, and the moment was so off the rails that WWE eventually deleted the official video of the promo from social media entirely.
Backstage sources also told Sean Ross Sapp that the segment was the talk of the locker room almost instantly. One unnamed talent reportedly texted, Not watching the show, but what Im readingis this real or fanfic?
Whether the shots were personal or professional, the line between reality and storyline got blurredand now Ludwig Kaisers getting dragged into it.
With Flair set to challenge Stratton for the WWE Womens Championship at WrestleMania, this rivalry just added a new layer of drama that no one saw coming.
