Rey Fenix officially arrived on WWE SmackDown, and his brother Penta couldnt have been prouder. The former AEW star made his in-ring debut on the April 4 episode of SmackDown, defeating Nathan Frazer in a high-energy showdownand the love from his family wasnt far behind.
After the show, Triple H posted a backstage video showing him embracing Fenix. The clip caught fire online, especially when Penta saw it. The Monday Night RAW Superstar jumped into the comments section and dropped a two-word response filled with heart emojis: el mejor!!! (Spanish for the best!!!).
The moment hit hard, especially knowing the journey both brothers have taken to get to WWE. While Fenix just made his debut on SmackDown, Penta arrived back in January and is currently mixing it up on RAW, where hes in the hunt for the Intercontinental Championship. Hes already faced top names like Bron Breakker, Finn Balor, and Dominik Mysterio, and suffered his first pinfall loss this past Monday in a tag team match against Judgment Day.
Fenixs SmackDown debut was everything fans hoped for. He went all out against Frazer, hitting the Goodbye Amigos Kick, a Firedriver, a vicious corner knee, and finally a Mexican Muscle Buster to seal the deal. After the match, he told the Chicago crowd: Tonight, Ive been rewarded with love and passion. I waited my whole life for this momentand now I can say, I am WWE.
But the moment wasnt just about himit was felt by his family too, and Pentas reaction showed that bond runs deep, even across WWE brands.
