Alex Hammerstone just wrapped up his time in TNA Wrestling, but he might not be a free agent for long.
According to Fightful Select, Hammerstone is expected to be on site for MLW Battle Riot tonightjust weeks after announcing his departure from TNA.
The report notes that Hammerstone, one of the most prominent names in MLWs history, is back in town for the event, fueling speculation that he could be gearing up for a major return. He originally left MLW over a year ago on good terms, and with MLW stacking the show with surprisesincluding a signing expected to get a big pushhis presence has definitely raised some eyebrows.
Hammerstones last match in TNA aired on the March 13 episode of iMPACT!, where he challenged Joe Hendry for the TNA World Championship in a losing effort. That bout, taped in February at Full Sail University, was his return to the ring following a knee injury that sidelined him since Turning Point last November.
I wrestled my last match for TNA at the February tapings and am no longer under contract with the company, Hammerstone confirmed on X. Grateful for the opportunities that came my way and excited for whats next.
He underwent surgery in December and was cleared to return by Februarybut now, it looks like his next move could be right back where he made a name for himself. Hammerstone was once the face of MLW, holding the MLW World Heavyweight Championship for over 600 days, and fans have been waiting to see where hell pop up next.
With MLW Battle Riot known for surprise appearances and big moments, Hammerstone showing up could mean business. If hes back, expect it to be more than just a cameo.
