Alexander Zverev gave a diplomatic answer when asked about the chatter that he may have started working with Boris Becker as the world No. 2 stated that he has a great relationship with the German tennis legend and added that the public has the right to make speculations.
Ahead of the start of the opening clay Masters of the year in Monte Carlo, the German tennis star was spotted practicing with Becker sitting courtside. For years - especially in Germany - tennis fans often called on the 27-year-old to hire the former six-time Grand Slam champion.
To no one's surprise, Zverev was asked about the detail that the cameras caught during his Monte Carlo practice session.

Becker identified the reason behind Zverev's recent struggles
Just a couple of days ago, the 57-year-old said he believed that Zverev's poor form and results were the result of his confidence dropping.
I always start with it, with the mental attitude, he is not as convinced of himself at the moment as he was in Melbourne or as he was at the end of last year, the former world No. 1 said on the Becker-Petkovic podcast.
Truth be told, Zverev hasn't been the same player since getting dismantled by Jannik Sinner in this year's Australian Open final. And considering how devasted and heartbroken he sounded after the final, it's not hard to connect the dots and realize that that particular loss left a major toll on him.
The world No. 2 is just 6-5 since the Australian Open. It will be interesting to see if Becker appears in his box and if he can turn the page and get some momentum and rhythm at the start of the clay season.
