Rory McIlroy has been searching for a career Grand Slam for years, and it seems that his enormous hunger and desire for success only creates greater problems for him.

The Northern Irish golfer could become the sixth player to achieve a career Grand Slam.

His career has been under a lot of scrutiny for years, and former golfer, now commentator, Ewen Murray shared his opinion.

Namely, Murray feels that Rory could make it a success if he follows the example of Niick Faldo, who kept away from cameras and media pressure before major tournaments.

"The pressure on him is enormous for him to join the five players to win the Grand Slam," Murray said of McIlroy, as quoted by Mirror.

"I think he should take a leaf out of Nick Faldos book."

Nick Faldo knew that the media can create enormous pressure and problems for everyone, so he produced a lot of reactions by training in silence, and coming back in style.

Such a mindset brought him positive results, and will Rory do the same? Murray knows how much mindset plays an important role in these kinds of tournaments, especially when you are a great player who has been searching for the Majors for years.

"Faldo before the majors cleared off somewhere, come away from all the noise. When he won at St Andrews, he went up to the outer hebrides and played golf, did his practice. By the time he got to St Andrews, he was ready... I think Faldo got it right, and six majors suggest that he did.

Nick was a great thinker, he was very aware of everything. I think McIlroy should look at that."- he contunued.

Murray shares his advices

Murray had some interesting advice for the experienced golfer, who has already analyzed the challenges Augusta National can bring many times. McIlroy has been playing this tournament for years, he is familiar with all the obstacles, but learning something new is always good.

"He should look at the par fives. These par fives are really par fours for him. If he birdies three of them each day he is 12-under-par.

That is the way I look at it. Maybe that puts pressure on McIlroy to take the par fives well, but I do think that is key for him."- he concluded.
