AEW Dynasty 2025 went down in the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This was a big pay-per-view for Tony Khans company, and they closed things off with a major main event match.

At AEW Dynasty, the AEW World Championship was on the line as Jon Moxley and Swerve Strickland went at each other. Jon Moxley entered the event as the champion and defended his title against Strickland.

This match closed out the entire pay-per-view, and it came after Kenny Omega was able to retain his International Title in a stellar triple threat match. This match also received a big fight feel, thanks to Justin Roberts ring announcing.

This match got started with Swerve and Mox both trying to get an early advantage. As they felt each other out, things got physical in a hurry.

Eventually, Swerve Strickland was busted open after Moxley tossed him over the announce table. Moxley took advantage of this, and he made sure Strickland bled even more when they got back in the ring, even using his teeth to get that accomplished.

The match continued in the ring, as Swerve Strickland soaked up the punishment that Jon Moxley could throw at him. They fought on and Swerve landed his kick to the back of Moxs head, but then Marina Shafir got in the wring with that briefcase holding the AEW World Title. Prince Nana got in the ring to stop her, but Shafir only whacked him with it to send him down.

Swerve used this distraction to nail a DDT for a near fall. Then Mox sent him over the top rope to the floor. The match continued as they fought on top of a ladder, where Swerve got the upperhand after biting Mox, and then he landed a stomp through the announce table.

Hangman Page eventually came to the ring, and he prepared for a Buckshot Lariat, but then Pac appeared to take him out on the apron. Moxs faction then stomped Page down, but he moved and caused miscommunication between the faction before he nailed a move on Moxley. The Opps ran down next to fight off the Death Riders.

The match continued as Swerve threw a chair and hit Mox in the head. Then he climbed to the top rope and nailed another Swerve Stomp off the top rope, but he couldnt make the cover in time. Then the lights went down and the Young Bucks were in the ring when they came back on. They nailed a double V-Trigger on Swerve and left to a sea of boos from the Philly crowd. After that, Jon Moxley made the cover and got the win.

AEW has a lot going on, and their World Title picture is certainly an interesting situation. With All In coming up as the companys next pay-per-view, its anyones guess who will win the Owens Hart Foundation Tournament and get a shot at the championship next.
