Diva Dirt has kicked off our Top 30 Women Wrestlers Under 30 as of April 1. Below you will find links to the list so far as well as the newest name on the list.
24. Cora Jade 24yo
Born the year I graduated high school (yes, I am old), Cora Jade is another young talent who started her career early. In late 2018, just shy of her 18th birthday, Jade made her debut in wrestling under the name Elayna Black. She would continue to use this name and appear for Shimmer, Rise, Impact, and AEW before signing her WWE contract in 2021. She was originally paired up with Gigi Dolin when signed, but once her best friend in real life, Roxanne Perez, joined NXT they quickly formed a tag team. They would go on to win the NXT Womens Tag Team Championships from Toxic Attraction before Jade would promptly turn on Perez signifying her heel turn as she went on to feud with her now former bestie.
Jade took a hiatus for four months in 2023. She returned and was promptly put into title contention against then-champion Lyra Valkyria. Unfortunately, Jade suffered an ACL injury at a live event and was out for another nine months. Once upon her return she helped out Perez who was champion at the time. Jade finally got herself a championship match in February of this year in a Fatal Four way with Giulia (as champion), Bayley, and Perez.
Cora has a lot of potential to be a key player in the womens division moving forward. Her ACL injury after taking a hiatus before that certainly put a damper on what progress she could have made by now. Recently, she has also crossed the line into TNA and challenged Masha Slamovich for the TNA Knockouts World Title. She has the key to success; she just needs to it.
