AEW Dynasty 2025 ended with chaos, blood, and a shocking return that has everyone talking. But now we know why The Young Bucks showed up late to the eventand it wasnt by accident.
The April 6 pay-per-view at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia featured a brutal AEW World Championship match between Jon Moxley and Swerve Strickland. With blood spilled and interference at every turnincluding Marina Shafir, Prince Nana, and Hangman Pageit was the surprise return of Matt and Nick Jackson that truly shifted the outcome.
The lights went out. The crowd went wild. When they came back on, The Young Bucks were standing in the ring and nailed Swerve with a double V-Trigger, allowing Moxley to score the pin and retain the AEW World Title. But fans backstage had one big question: where were The Bucks the whole night?
According to Wrestling Observers Dave Meltzer, this wasnt some last-minute decisionit was part of the plan. The Young Bucks didnt arrive in the building until 10 p.m. They didnt keep them sequestered or a secret as people saw them, but they came late enough that the idea was that it wouldnt get out before the show started, Meltzer reported.
The last time fans saw The Bucks in AEW was back in 2024. Since then, theyve been focused on working in NJPW and staying out of the AEW spotlightuntil now. Their return, timed perfectly, wasnt just meant to protect the surprise for fansit was meant to shake up the entire world title picture heading into All In.
As of now, AEW hasnt confirmed whether The Young Bucks will appear on this weeks Dynamite. But after what went down at Dynasty, its safe to say the game has changed.
