The final segment of Monday Night RAW featured a dramatic confrontation between Seth Rollins and Paul Heymanbut according to former WWE head writer Vince Russo, fans werent nearly as invested as WWE hoped.
On the latest Legion of RAW, Russo didnt hold back, saying the crowd completely lost interest just minutes into the promo. Rollins interrupted Heyman before he could even speak, grilling him about his loyalty to Roman Reigns and CM Punk. The segment got heated fast, but Russo says it also went off the rails early.
When you watch that last segment, they totally lost the crowd. When the crowd starts singing, youve totally lost the crowd, Russo said. The second youre losing them, you go home. Here you had, these are supposed to be two of the biggest stars in the business. They lost the people five minutes in, and went another ten minutes.
He added, You dont believe me? Its on Netflix, you can go replay it. Go watch the crowd throughout that promo, and theyre losing them more and more.

Despite the crowd reaction, WWE stuck with the segment all the way to the finish. Rollins got physical with Heyman, prompting CM Punk to rush in for the save. But it was short-livedRollins dropped Punk with a Stomp and nearly did the same to Heyman, stopping just short and telling him he now owed him a favor.
While the storyline between Rollins, Punk, and Heyman is clearly building toward something major for WrestleMania 41, Russos comments raise the question: is the drama landing with the fans, or are they tuning out?
