Lex Luger Says WWE Hasnt Approved Sting and DDP for Hall of Fame Induction Yet

In a new interview with Bill Apter, Luger opened up about the holdup behind the scenes. They were asking me about who could induct me and I said, obviously, DDP has been working with me so much in the past and Id love for him to be out there, Luger said. But I go, Have you ever had two guys out there for somebody?

For Luger, its not just symbolicits also practical. They can spot me, so if I try walking and I start to fall, I can have my two best buddies spot me on my shoulders. There is your money shot. Sting on one side, Dallas on the other making sure I dont fall.

He added that WWE didnt shoot the idea down immediately, but its still stuck in limbo. I ran it by WWE guys, Triple Hs right-hand man, Oh, I know what youre going to ask. Ill have to run that up the flag pole. I dont know. I havent had an answer back, Luger explained.

And theres another complicationSting is under contract with AEW. WWE may allow them up there, but hed also have to have permission from Tony Khan and AEW. There is a lot of moving parts there, Luger admitted.

Before AEW Dynasty, Tony Khan was asked about Sting possibly appearing at the Hall of Fame and responded that hed need to talk to the legend about it first. So far, theres been no official word on whether itll happen.

Ideally, obviously, I would love to see both of those guys up there with me, Luger said. That would be huge for me and be special for the fans.

Will Sting and DDP be allowed to give Lex Luger the moment he wantsor will red tape and company politics get in the way?
