The WWE Universe was already talking after Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Strattons fiery promo on SmackDown, but now the full backstage story is outand it confirms just how chaotic things got in real-time.

According to Fightful Select, the general feeling among WWE talent and staff was that Charlotte Flair was the one who went off script first. Her nepo queen line wasnt cleared, but it didnt stir up much heat either. Things took a turn, though, when Flair started mocking Strattons voice mid-segment. Thats when people backstage felt like Stratton needed to fight back, but insiders admit her response may have crossed a line.

The now-viral 0-3 jab about Flairs marriages? Not approved. Same goes for Charlottes infamous Is that why Kaisers in my DMs? comment. None of that was in the original script. In fact, Charlottes entire bit where she turned to the crowd to address their reaction wasnt pre-approved eitherbut that part was seen as run of the mill ad libbing that would never get anyone any heat.

But once the insults got personal, producers were quickly told to clean things up. WWEs digital team received direct orders to remove all the relationship references and Flair mocking Strattons voice from the YouTube uploads. Meanwhile, the USA Network version still carries the uncut exchange.

Backstage, the reaction to the whole thing was summed up in one word: wreck. There was heat on both womenFlair for instigating it and Stratton for firing back too hard. One person said there was some confusion when Charlotte emulated Tiffanys voice, and an overwhelming oh shit when things went off the rails.

Still, despite the chaos, there was no reported drama once everyone got backstage. No arguments, no blowupsjust a shared sense that the segment went too far. And while things got serious for a moment, many at WWE Raw apparently got a laugh out of Ludwig Kaiser being a good sport about the whole DM drama.

This promo was supposed to heat up a WrestleMania feud. Instead, it turned into a behind-the-scenes headache that WWE is now trying to steer back on course.

Do you think Charlotte and Tiffany went too far during the promoor did it add the kind of reality wrestling needs more of? Drop your take in the comments and tell us what you thought about the chaos.
