AEW just confirmed what fans fearedAdam Copeland is out indefinitely after suffering a brutal beatdown at the hands of FTR during AEW Dynasty.

During the April 10 episode of Dynamite, commentator Excalibur delivered the official update, revealing that Copeland, aka Cope, was stretchered out of the arena following the vicious post-match assault. The WWE Hall of Famer was attacked after Rated FTR failed to capture the AEW World Trios Titles from the Death Riders.

FTR didnt just turn on their longtime allythey annihilated him. Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler hit Copeland with the shatter machine, a spike piledriver, and a con-chair-to, leaving him motionless in the ring as the stunned Philadelphia crowd watched in silence. The savage sequence was AEWs way of writing Cope off TV, and now its officialhes not coming back anytime soon.

I dont expect him back until July, said Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio. So he will miss the next pay-per-view. I think hell be out for a while.

Tony Schiavone didnt hide his feelings about the betrayal either. The longtime AEW voice was clearly disgusted with FTRs turn, calling their actions totally unnecessary and unforgivable.

With Copeland now on the shelf, the question becomes whats next for FTR. Their heel turn has reset the boardbut at what cost?

Do you think FTR went too far by taking out Adam Copeland? How should AEW book their next move while Cope recovers? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
