The April 9th edition of AEW Dynamite had a lot of things going for it, which also featured a solid main event tag team match that saw Samoa Joe and HOOK take on the Death Riders. However, it appears that things didnt end well for HOOK as he ended up puking during the show.
During the tag team match, HOOK managed to secure the win after he tapped out Wheeler Yuta with a Redrum. However, fans immediately noticed something was off as the ring had an odd discoloration and that made it evident that HOOK had actually vomited on the ring.
Those suspicions were quickly confirmed when Claudio Castagnoli hit HOOK with a brutal Neutralizer onto a steel chair during a violent post-match attack. Moments after the move, HOOK was clearly seen vomiting in the ring again, making it clear that he had thrown up twice during the segment.
AEW didnt mention the incident during the broadcast, but fans on social media quickly noticed the clear signs. Many guessed that the vomiting might have been caused by dehydration or extreme exhaustion.
Even with the unexpected moment, HOOKs ability to keep going and finish the match strong showed just how tough and determined he is. Its rare to see a wrestler push through obvious physical discomfort and still manage to make an opponent tap out and fans definitely give HOOK his flowers for being a true professional.
