Drew McIntyre has been wearing an eyepatch since Damian Priest attacked him on the March 28 episode of WWE SmackDown, where real glass ended up getting in his eye. In fact, McIntyre has now revealed the locker room reaction to him wearing an eyepatch.
While speaking on the Getting Over podcast, Drew McIntyre revealed how the locker room reacted when he wore an eyepatch. At first, some of the guys started laughing and joking around, doing pirate voices.
However, one of them stopped and admitted that Drew McIntyre was actually pulling off the look, which surprised them. What started as a joke turned into them realizing it suited him.
Beyond the jokes, McIntyre also talked about the serious nature of his injury, though he chose not to give away too many details, especially since Damian Priest was involved in the segment.
Thankfully, WWE has just now confirmed that Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre will be facing off against each other at WrestleMania 41 in singles competition, so now fans no longer have to worry whether The Scottish Warrior will compete at the Showcase of the Immortals. Therefore, we will have to wait and see if McIntyre will be able to beat Priest at the event.
