Saraya isnt lacing up the boots anytime soonbut dont count her out just yet.
The former WWE Divas Champion, who wrapped up her AEW run earlier this year, just made it clear that shes hitting the brakes on in-ring action in 2025. In a new interview with Muscle Man Malcolm, Saraya opened up about her future, her personal struggles with recent matches, and the never-ending WWE rumors.
If I do wrestle again, Im gonna take this year to step outside of it, Saraya said, noting she wants to spend time recovering physically and mentally while preparing for a stronger comeback. I will be going to Nattys training school getting some reps under me so then when I do come back, Im back to being how I wrestled before.
That level of honesty extended to her recent performances, which she admitted fell short of her expectations. I know that I was frustrated with myself. I know I could be better than that, she said. So Im gonna go back and, like, relearn my life again.
Naturally, the WWE questions followedbut Saraya set the record straight. Its nice to know that people care and want me back there in WWE, but I havent had a conversation with them, she confirmed. I just want people to know that, like. I havent spoken to them in any way.
Still, she left the door open for something special. But if theres something special on the horizon, I would do it, just depending on a lot of things.
Despite her current distance from the WWE ring, Saraya still has a deep connection to the company that made her a global star. I love that place. Its where I grew up. They raised me, she said. They supported me through everything when I should have got fired. They are amazing.
Now fully a free agent, Sarayas reflecting on her career with nothing but love. I love AEW. I love WWE. I just had the best wrestling career that I could ask for. But she made one thing clear: this isnt her final chapter. I know that theres still stuff left in the tank, she said. So well see where that ends up.
