The countdown to this years WrestleMania is in full swing. WrestleMania 41 takes place on the weekend of April 19 and 20. 52 (really 55) matches in the history of WrestleMania include women. Diva Dirt will countdown two matches daily to rank all 52 leading up to this years event. You can check out the full list so far at the bottom of this article.
Now onto 18 & 17!
NOTE:It is getting extremely hard to pick the rest of this list and rank them as there are really no bad matches left.
18. WrestleMania 35
The IIconics def. The Boss n Hug Connection (c), Tamina & Nia Jax, and Natalya & Beth Phoenix WWE Womens Tag Team Titles
What a fun moment! This WrestleMania overall was so fun for the women and a memorable for me. Even the men won the matches I wanted them to! But we arent here to talk about them. The IIconics got their WrestleMania moment as they became the new Womens Tag Team Champions! Beth Phoenix being in this match also was so fun! Very enjoyable.
17. WrestleMania 20
Victoria (c) def. Molly Holly (Hair vs. Title) WWE Womens Title
What a WrestleMania moment! If you do not remember this match, then you simply were too young or werent even born yet (either could be true). But, in 2004, Molly Holly went all out to make sure that the WWE Womens Title was going to be defended. Originally, just the tag team playboy match was set for the women at this Mania, however, Molly had other ideas. She made sure the title was defended by Victoria as she pitched a Hair vs. Title Match.
Only thing about this that grinds my gears is how short the match was. Under five minutes! However, Molly losing and getting her head shaved, I mean, come on! Kudos Kudos Kudos! What a moment in womens wrestling history.
