The April 11 episode of WWE SmackDown went down at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington. With the road to WrestleMania 41 in full swing, its anyones guess what they will do to hype the show of shows, especially when it comes to Cody Rhodes match.
Cody Rhodes is set to defend the Undisputed World Title against John Cena at WrestleMania. Cena won the 2025 Royal Rumble match, and then he turned heel in the process to kick up the drama a notch.
Cody Rhodes made his way out to the ring as the second hour of the show started. They had titles from WWE history all set up in the ring to accept how important this match at WrestleMania 41 will be for John Cena and Cody Rhodes.
After taking some time to hype fans, Cody Rhodes got down to business. When Cody mentioned John Cena, Seattle fans had a mixed reaction to say the least. He said that Cena is trying to tear down the legacy of the company and whatever they have to come with the next twenty champions.
Fans booed when Cody Rhodes said that John Cena decided not to be in Seattle for SmackDown. Then Cody brought up how John said his tattoo makes him a common fan. Rhodes didnt see anything wrong with that, because he wants to be somebody, which is also why he wears such nice suits to the ring.
Cody Rhodes then said he does his best fighting when hes backed into a corner. Rhodes said that this was what he told Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. He will also Cena his moment to say goodbye. Cena knows that his time is up, but until Cody Rhodes time is up, he will remain champion. Cody raised his title up and said that the title will stay with him.
