A third womens championship is being introduced into ROH. Already in the promotion is the ROH Womens World Title, held by Athena, and the ROH Womens World TV Title, held by Red Velvet. Tony Khan has confirmed that a ROG Womens Pure Title is coming. The tournament is set to start on May 2 at ROHs Supercard of Honor event.
The ROH pure rules are different than traditional wrestling rules with wrestlers getting three rope breaks to break up pin or submission attempts, restrictions on closed fist strikes, no outside interference, and three judges awarding a winner if a match goes to a draw. The current mens Pure Champion is Lee Moriarty.
