Fightful Select has reported that Rich Swann signed a two-year contract extension in 2022, which came to an end in late 2024, making him a free agent. The deal included an optional extra year, but the promotion chose not to activate it.
Although Swann hasnt been seen in TNA recently, hes remained active on the independent wrestling scene. Since returning to action in October with Pro Wrestling Revolver, hes been regularly competing there, in GCW, and in several other promotions.
Rich Swann was arrested on June 8 in Altamonte Springs, Florida, on misdemeanor charges of disorderly public intoxication and causing a disturbance. According to the arrest report, Swann tried to enter an apartment he may have mistaken for his own. The person inside, feeling threatened, confronted him with a gun, prompting Swann to back off and leave the area. It was reported that Swann entered a nolo contendere plea, meaning he did not admit guilt but also did not contest the charges.
This marks the end of a major chapter for Rich Swann, a former TNA World Champion known for his standout performances in the Impact Zone.
