Following the April 11 episode of SmackDown, where Bayley and Lyra Valkyria won a Gauntlet Match to earn a shot at the WWE Womens Tag Team Championships, fans were quick to call out how WWE handled Kayden Carter and Katana Chance. The longtime duo were eliminated despite being the only fully established tag team in the matchand fans werent having it.
One user posted, These two were the ONLY real tag team in that whole gauntlet and they lost a opportunity at WrestleMania to a tag team that formed in a week btw. Carter responded with nothing more than a emojiletting it be known she saw it, felt it, and agreed.
She also retweeted several other posts ripping the booking. One read, Its so sad how Kayden Carter and Katana Chance are treated. They always have the best performance in every match they have.
Another fan wrote, You have a tag team of this level of talent & decide to eliminate them just like that in 2 minutes. This gauntlet is so damn lazy. And Carter hit that retweet button again.
One of the strongest responses came from a fan who said, Yall always talk about pops but never talk about the quality of the match Katana and Kayden are capable of having an amazing match and gaining fans with loud pops but how is that possible if theyre barely getting booked???
Carters last televised win came way back on the October 7, 2024 episode of Raw, when she was part of a 10-woman tag team match. Since then, its been a string of losses, inconsistent appearances, and now a WrestleMania opportunity taken awaydespite the teams reputation for consistently delivering in the ring.
