Paul Heymans Advocate Role Blasted for Losing Track Record

Vince Russo let it rip during the latest episode of Writing with Russo, where he took direct aim at Heymans on-screen legacyand questioned why fans are still supposed to believe in his genius when, according to him, the numbers just dont back it up.

Lets make no bones about it. I dont like Paul Heyman, okay? This is not about me not liking Paul Heyman, Russo said. This is about, bro, youve got a guy that you know is The Advocate, and he is The Wiseman. Bro, everybody who has been with him has lost, and youve never shown me why is he The Wiseman. You have never shown me that.

Russo didnt stop there. He pointed out that if Heymans track record actually supported the Wiseman label, then maybe it would be believablebut it doesnt.

Now if this guy, bro, if the story was every champion hes ever backed has never lost under his tutelage, thats one thing. Thats not the story, bro. So, thats the part thats really hard for me to digest.

Russo also trashed the upcoming WrestleMania 41 angle involving Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and CM Punkall centered around Heymans loyalty. For Russo, that entire setup is flawed.

I cant believe that thats the stakes, he said. You have three obviously of the biggest stars in the WWE, and the stakes are over a 65-year-old freaking manager? Like, those are the stakes? And again, I am just gonna go back to the casual fan. Any casual fan watching this would say the same exact thing, Why do I care who the manager goes with? They would say the same exact thing I am saying.

Heymans role has been pivotal in storylines with Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, and now CM Punkbut Russo clearly thinks the legends image doesnt hold up under scrutiny. As for what comes next for Heyman, that depends on how WrestleMania 41 plays outespecially after defying the Order To Comply and siding with Punk.
