The Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California played host to the April 14 episode of WWE RAW. They had a lot to get to, especially when it came to building the main event for WrestleMania 41s first night.
Seth Rollins, CM Punk and Roman Reigns are set to throw down in the main event of WrestleMania 41 night one. The three were under the same roof for the final RAW before the show of shows.
Before the main event segment of WWE RAW this week, CM Punk approached Paul Heyman backstage, because the Wise Man was looking stressed. That is when Roman Reigns pulled up, and he didnt look happy. Instead of addressing them, he simply walked out to the ring, with Paul Heyman running to catch up behind him. Instead of taking the microphone from Heyman, Roman got it himself from the ringside area. Then the OTC took a second as fans in California chanted for him.
Roman Reigns spoke about how those fans in California would never betray their Tribal Chief, unlike some people, as he spoke toward Paul Heyman. Then Roman asked Paul how he could betray him as fans in the crowd chanted you f*cked up at the WWE Hall of Famer.
Paul Heyman took a minute when asked why he betrayed Roman Reigns, as fans chanted CM Punk and asshole at him. As Heyman spoke, fans booed him. He said it wasnt a betrayal, because hes paying back a favor that he owed to CM Punk. Roman then said that hes the only one getting screwed over in this favor. Reigns said that he doesnt ask for favors, because he takes what he wants. After all, he never asked CM Punk to help him at WarGames.
Seth Rollins came out next, and fans were ready to sing his song. Rollins then said that the winner of this triple threat match will define the future of WWE. His point was that the business will die if CM Punk is able to win. That only made fans chant for CM Punk even more.
As Seth Rollins continued his promo, he came to that one piece that Roman Reigns hasnt figured out. He said that favors are a choice, because Heyman can choose not to give Rollins his favor back after sparing his life last week. He said that Heyman didnt just betray Roman, because hes choosing Punk.
Roman Reigns then said that hes made his choice before he clotheslined Seth Rollins and sent him out of the ring. Then Roman piefaced Paul Heyman to the mat as CM Punk came running to the ring. Roman and Punk brawled for a bit before Punk clotheslined Roman over the top rope to the floor. Then CM Punk turned to Paul Heyman as Reigns got back in to spear him.
Punk took some mounted shots from Roman Reigns, but then Seth Rollins whacked him in the back with a chair, just like he did when he turned on The Shield. Rollins nailed a Stomp to Punk and Reigns after that to finish sending the message.
