Trading card collectors, get ready to open your walletsbecause WWE and Topps just took memorabilia to a whole new level. In partnership with Topps, WWE has confirmed two new programs that are set to turn match-worn gear into ultra-rare trading cards, starting this weekend in Las Vegas.
Confirmed to Ringside News, WWE is officially launching the WrestleMania Patch and the Main Roster Debut Patch. For the first time ever in WWE history, Superstars will wear Logoman-style patchessimilar to whats been used in MLB and MLS card dropsto commemorate big moments in the ring. And yes, those patches are going straight into one-of-one autographed cards.
Every WWE Superstar set to compete at WrestleMania 41 on April 19 and 20 will be sporting a special WrestleMania Patch, with most placing it on their boots. Once the match ends, the patch comes off and is prepped for insertion into a single trading card, later signed by the Superstar who wore it.
But thats not all. Starting with Monday Night RAW on April 21, any Superstar making their official main roster debut will be wearing a Main Roster Debut Patch. That includes debuts on both RAW and SmackDown going forward. The goal? Document every first-timer in a way thats never been done before.
Each of these cards will feature custom authentication, including a Fanatics Authentics hologram, the date and location of the match, and of coursean autograph from the Superstar.
Topps will release the sets into hobby shops later this year. It mirrors the debut patch programs they first rolled out with Major League Baseball in 2023 and Major League Soccer earlier in 2024but this time, its hitting the squared circle.
Will you be hunting down one of these ultra-rare WWE patch cards when they drop? Which Superstar debut would you want in your collection? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
