Triple H just made it officialThe Viper is striking at WWE Backlash, and St. Louis is in for a wild night.
On April 15, Triple H posted the official WWE Backlash poster on Twitter, featuring a chilling visual of Randy Orton surrounded by black snakes with glowing red eyes. Ortons face dominates the frame, shadowed in dark tones with piercing red eyes of his own, while serpents coil around himcementing his legacy as The Apex Predator. His name is subtly stamped in blood-red lettering near the bottom left, but his presence says it all.
Triple H captioned the reveal with, For every #WrestleMania moment there is a backlash. #WWEBacklash is live from Enterprise Center in St. Louis on May 10th.
The update all but confirms that Randy Orton will have a major presence at the May 10 event, which takes place in his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri. The Enterprise Center is already heating up in terms of ticket salesaccording to WrestleTix, over 11,000 seats have been claimed with more than a month to go. The last time WWE ran that venue for RAW, they didnt even crack 8,300.
This years Backlash follows 2024s record-setting show in Lyon, France, and the early signs suggest WWE is aiming to blow past expectations once again. Throw in Ortons home turf and John Cena making his first Backlash appearance since 2009 as part of his farewell tour, and its clear this show is going to be anything but ordinary.
