Drew McIntyre has a message for fans heading to Las Vegas for WrestleMania 41and hes not sugarcoating a damn thing.
In a brutally honest PSA posted to Twitter/X, the former WWE Champion laid out a set of dos and donts for anyone attending the biggest wrestling weekend of the year. His goal? To stop fans from ruining it for everyone, including themselves.
Its WrestleMania week, the most exciting time of the year, and pro wrestling is on fire, McIntyre said. Were in a golden age beyond golden age, and the whole industry is descending on Vegas Im worried about you guys. Im concerned youre going to fck it up.*
And thats where his PSA beganfirst with a few respectful tips. Be respectful to any wrestlers you see, and each other. But mostly us, its our busiest work week of the year, he advised. McIntyre urged fans not to block wrestlers in transit, adding, Were probably trying to get to an appearance or seeing our family and friends that we never, ever, ever see. Oh, and he also threw in a plea that should be obvious: Wear deodorant. Please wear deodorant.
Then came the dontswhere things got heated. McIntyre didnt hold back, especially when it came to fans lurking for autographs. Dont hang around at the airport with a bunch of merchandise to sign. Its bullsht. Its taking the piss. Its taking advantage,* he snapped.
But his harshest warning was saved for those thinking about showing up at WWEs hotel. Fck off. Stay away from the hotel. Thats a safe space. Imagine thats our house because it is our house for the week,* McIntyre said. Would you like someone coming into your house, shoving a camera in your face, in your kids face? Think of it that way.
He also called out fans who interrupt private conversations, ask for merchandise signings in public, and worst of alluse real names. Street names, real names, government names. Dont call people by their real names, McIntyre warned. Thats a surefire sign we need to run the fck away This is more to do with the girls. Its very creepy. Dont do it.*
McIntyre closed the message by saying he hopes fans actually listen to his advice, not just hear it. Everybody attending Mania, get together, talk about the thing we love and brought us togetherprofessional wrestling, he said. Its going to be the biggest one yet, and I guarantee Drew McIntyre is going to steal the weekend.
Whether you love his delivery or think he crossed the line, Drew McIntyre isnt wrong about one thingWrestleMania week should be about enjoying the spectacle, not crossing boundaries. Respect goes a long way, and if fans play it right, everyone wins.
