The April 15 episode of NXT was the go-home episode of the brands show before Stand & Deliver in Las Vegas. Las Vegas was certain to see a big show, but they also needed to add another match.
This weeks episode of NXT featured a North American Championship No. 1 Contenders Match between Ethan Page, Eddy Thorpe, Wes Lee, and Lexis King. This match would decide who faces Ricky Saints at the premium live event.
This match kicked off the show, and fans were all about it in the NXT Arena. Everyone gave their all, and there were a ton of high spots, dives, and even a tower of power bomb from Wes Lee as everyone else took a bump.
Eventually, Ethan Page got under Ricky Saints skin, and he was ejected from ringside. That is about the time that they went to commercial break.
When we came back, Lexis King found himself locked in a triple submission, as each competitor had a hold of some part of his body. He didnt tap, and the match carried on. Then they separated as they ended up with Wes Lee nailing a whisper in the wind as Ethan Page had Lexis King on his shoulders.
In the end, everyone hit their finishers, but Ethan Page was the final one, and he pulled off the win as he pinned Lexis King. Now Ethan Page will take on Ricky Saints in Las Vegas at Stand & Deliver.
