Just days before her WWE Hall of Fame induction, Michelle McCool shared a deeply personal message on Instagram, reflecting on what she called one of the most difficult stretches of her life.
On April 16, McCool posted an Instagram Story from her home gym, writing: The last 3+ weeks have been some of the most trying, difficult times Ive EVER experienced its been hard to focus on ANYTHING other than my family! As we get ready to leave, Im trying to smile & stay calm during the chaos no easy task!
She followed up with another message layered over the image: When you imagine BIG dreams & they somehow come to fruition then you feel like its not the celebration you imagined due to things out of your control, keep moving forward one step, one moment, one word, one day at a time still find gratitude let go & let God! #myHOFdressiscutetho #notinuggs #butnotforlong.
McCool did not mention the WWE Hall of Fame directly, nor did she reference any ongoing discussion about her induction plans. The timing, however, comes during a very public stretch of her career as she prepares for the April 18 ceremony during WrestleMania 41 weekend in Las Vegas.
Separately, WWE recently confirmed that McCools induction will be presented by her husband, The Undertaker. While the decision might seem natural given their relationship, some have questioned why Layla, McCools longtime Lay-Cool tag team partner, was not given that role instead. WWE has not addressed whether Layla will be involved in the ceremony.
Its unclear if McCools Instagram post was meant to address any of that directly, or if it relates to something personal outside of wrestling. Either way, the message struck a reflective and emotional tone just days before one of the biggest honors of her career.
What do you think Michelle McCools message was aboutand should WWE have done more to include Layla in the Hall of Fame moment? Drop your thoughts below.
