With four championships to her name and 300 days a year on the road, Mon made it clear that physical discomfort is a constant part of the job.

After my matches Im so sore, Im so tightened up and Im like, Dont sit in pain, Mercedes. Go stretch right now so you can rest. Go do some salt baths, meditate, get your mind right before you go back to sleep and your body tightens up again.'

She didnt sugarcoat what it takes to perform at an elite level week after week, even when everything hurts. You have to take care of yourself. You have to do yoga, you have to stretch after your matches all the time.

Mon also admitted she hates cold plunges but still does them for recoverybecause being uncomfortable is just part of being a champion.
