He now works as a producer behind the scenes in WWE and has made big contributions to the wrestling world. However, he made it clear that he feels he wont truly be appreciated for his work until after hes gone.
A fan recently asked which wrestler was incredibly good, but they rarely received praise for the same. One account tagged Shane Helms, and the fan responded that Helms simply never got his flowers, saying, He never got his flowers.
Shane Helms saw the thread and responded to the same, saying that he likely will never get his flowers. He added that the wrestling business has a bad habit of waiting too long to recognize peoples contributions until they are dead, as he said, More than likely I never will. Its not unusual though. This biz has a bad habit of waiting to give flowers until its on a gravesite.
This comes after Shane Helms revealed that he was approached by WWE about returning as The Hurricane and he has been actively trying to lose weight with that in mind.
Whether or not WWE officially honors Shane Helms while hes still working behind the scenes, fans continue to show their appreciation. From his exciting in-ring career as The Hurricane to his current role helping todays stars succeed, Helms has clearly left a major mark on professional wrestling.
