The April 16, 2025 episode of AEW Dynamite went down at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston, Massachusetts. Now we have new trios champions after a big main event match.
Pac was out of action, so Jon Moxley filled in for him. On the other hand, Hook couldnt wrestle either for The Opps, so they had to replace him. That was a big mystery as the main event started.
Powerhouse Hobbs was revealed as their surprise partner, and fans in Boston popped in a big way at this reveal. The Death Riders had the advantage early on, but then things took a turn for them.
The Young Bucks showed up, where they tried to shift the match momentum toward the Death Riders. Then Swerve Strickland showed up to take both of them out. That was a big moment that brought fans to a fever pitch.
Willow Nightingale took out Marina Shafir when she tried to get a chair shot in to Hobbs. Then Samoa Joe was able to choke out Jon Moxley to win the match. After the match was over, the entire locker room emptied to celebrate with the new champions.
Now Powerhouse Hobbs, Samoa Joe, and Shibata are the AEW Trios Champions. This was quite a surprise, and Boston was booming for the result of that match.
